In Berkeley, coffee shops cluster around downtown offices, college campuses and the main commercial streets of residential neighborhoods, and the independents usually close by mid-afternoon while chains stay open into the evening. Across California, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. Check the listing for hours, whether the cafe takes mobile orders, and its Google rating and recent reviews; parking is easiest at suburban locations, while downtown shops rely on street meters or nearby garages. Loyalty programs are common and worth joining if you are a regular.

Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (510) 982-6325. Berkeley is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Berkeley is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The graham cracker latte is forsure my favorite here. But the fire mocha is a close second. The vibes are always immaculate from staff and surrounding patrons. I love that this cafe provides a space for people to be people. You can connect with the local community, or completely disconnect from reality with a board game. It’s an all around wonderful place with great coffee.

Got the caprese sandwich and it was delish!!! My server was so fun and informative on the games offered and events offered at the space. Her name was Tyler, gave great welcoming energy! I will definitely be back!!!

$8 per person gives you access to over 800 boardgames! You aren't able to leave and come back, but luckily they have food and drinks (including beer) if you get a hankering for something! The staff was friendly and the pizza was good. My husband's beer ended up getting a bug in it and they so kindly replaced it! We will be coming back. P.S. free parking on the street after 6pm

This is my first time going to a cafe where you can play board games with your friends and other people. They charge you $8 per person for you to gain access to any board games from the shelves you want to play and you can stay here as long as you like until they’re closed. You can also ask to reserve a table and buy one of their game passes to save money! The place is very hectic here. There were many people playing board games with their friends. There weren’t many options for me to sit. I didn’t want to sit outside. So, I decided to sit indoors. Some of the tables were reserved and some reserved ones are open to patrons who are not part of the reservations until a certain time. For example, I sat at a reserved table until close to 2:30pm, which is when reserved customers will take over the table. There are plenty of food options here: sandwiches, pizzas, pastries, and cafe drinks. There are all sorts of menus there too if you take a look at the chalkboard. One of them happens to be a schedule of activities. I didn’t participate in gaming tabletops, but I did try out of their sandwiches and their cafe drinks. The turkey sandwich is good and honey lavender latte tastes sweet. M

While it can get intense with sophisticated board games and great competitive minds inside a board game cafe, the outdoor booths of Victory Point secretly extends the charm of board games to a new, calmer experience. Grab a gently lit booth, order a freshly baked pizza, add lavender to your β€œBabyccino” (hot steamed milk), pick some easy games from the huge game library inside - there you have it, a chilaxing meal after work, after dark, with breeze and ease, yet still colorful and fun. Staffs are great, you can ask anything, they go above and beyond.
